In order to enhance milk production & marketing, bulk milk coolers were established in Etawah (22) and Agra (19) during year 2006 and 2009 respectively under Swarn Jayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojna (SGSY) a Govt. of India scheme . The financial support was provided through DRDAs . The objective of the project was to provide competitive rates to farmers and increase the milk production. Support for breeding and health care services was also provided through veterinary health clinic as backward linkage. The project helped famers to create assets for self employment, curb exploitation from middlemen leading to increased income , build infrastructure and gain technology. The project had huge impact and benefitted 7000 farmers in 4 blocks of Etawah i.e Basrehar, Jaswant nagar, Saifai and Chakarnagar and 4900 farmers in 3 blocks of Agra that is Bah, Jaitpur and Pinhat . Project has served as a model for many private agencies who have set infrastructure for milk collection and created competition which has helped famers to get good price for the milk produce. During post project period milk collection and marketing activities are continued through POs and backup support from organization. Breeding and health care services for dairy animals are continued through established Cattle development centers.

During the year 2019-20, 12.87 lakh liters of milk ( 9.5 lakh in Etawah & 3.37 in Agra) was procured and marketed through established BMCs. 4494 AI were performed , 1955 animals were conceived and 1280 calves were born. Work Ratio Cattle is to Buffalo is 44 : 56.
